When the call towards priesthood remains persistent, a young man should seek out a spiritual director. This director is a priest with whom you meet with monthly (or more often), talking about what’s been happening in your prayer, life and discernment.

A good place to start is where you are. If living by your home parish, reach out to your home pastor or associate priest. If away at school, ask the campus chaplain. Tell them you’re thinking about priesthood and want to start spiritual direction to help you discern.
